Land Place Definition - Kamilla Earlywine

4/20/2017
Landscape is the earth. It includes all naturally occurring elements, including dirt, water, sky, plants, and rocks. Wildlife can also be considered part of the landscape. A naturally occurring landscape is not staged. However, there are manmade landscapes that can be formed and designed. Landscape exists both in very large open spaces, as well as tiny crevices of the earth. Each landscape has an element of sublime, although some more apparent than others.

Places generally have been or are being occupied by people. These are communities, towns, cities, buildings, homes, businesses, parks, cemeteries, etc. Place is rich in culture and history. Place has a relationship with landscape, as these places are created in the natural land.
